Description

VRTIGO lets you create and ride your own Virtual Reality rollercoasters in seconds! It combines our love of designing rollercoasters with the simplest user interface imaginable, and the thrill of VR. Using an app on your tablet, simply draw an outline with your finger. Then you can raise or lower it, twist it to make corkscrews, tune the speeds and decorate it. Press 'Go' and it's ready to ride in VR on your Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR. It's that simple. Soon you'll be able to share your creations with others, rank them, collaborate on them and get hold of more and more types of coaster and decorations. VRTIGO has been created using Unreal4, and will eventually feature a wide range super-rich AAA environments to place each creation in, and be the first in a series of UGVR (User-Generated Virtual Reality) titles.

History

Several members of Mint Games worked for a long time at Evolution Studios, and collaborated closely with the Immersive Technology Group there on the highly-praised stereoscopic 3D implementation of MotorStorm Apocalypse. As a result we were there at the very beginnings of that would eventually called PlayStation VR, and were immediate believers in the technology. A love for Rollercoaster Tycoon and Theme Park was a big factor in wanting to make a roller coaster creator, but a frustration with the complexity of contemporary User Generated Content tools, became the inspiration for wanting to create unbelievably user-friendly touch screen UGC tools to support our first VR title. VRTIGO was funded by the Creative England PlayStation Accelerator scheme in 2014, and we're now looking for funding to add additional features and polish to the title, either through crowdfunding, an investor or publisher.
